I’m Tawny and I can't wait to share my life with you! I’m an active and energetic boy, so I’ll need lots of engaging play time and training. I would love to go to puppy training classes (adopters get 30% off at Berkeley Humane's training program, Train the Bay) so I can learn my manners and make new friends! With lots of love and enrichment I will be such a fun and doting companion. I can't wait to spoil you with kisses! Visit the website of the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society at berkeleyhumane.org to learn more and schedule a meeting with me.

Hi! I’m Peppa. I’m a cat who knows what she likes (and what she doesn't). My top three favorite things, in order, are: 1. sunbathing on my window perch; 2. eating wet food and treats; 3. playing with wand toys.

Seven-year-old senior pittie Agatha instantly loves everyone she meets. Her other passions are playing fetch and destroying squeaky toys. In fact, she has the cutest habit of wanting to climb into your lap before settling down to eat a treat. Adorable, affectionate Agatha is great with other dogs and with kids. To meet this pet at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, call 510-337-8565 or visit alamedaanimalshelter.org/adopt.

Charlotte was an abandoned kitten begging for food from apartment residents who were forbidden to feed homeless cats. Luckily, she was rescued and is now a sweet and playful kitty that wants to sleep near her foster mom. Give Charlotte a loving home by contacting Lori at [email protected]. Community Concern for Cats now holds weekend adoption events at Pet Food Express stores in Walnut Creek and Martinez along with our regular location at 1250-H Newell Ave. in Walnut Creek. Visit communityconcernforcats.org for more information.

Cora is as sweet as she is beautiful. One look in those eyes and you’ll fall in love. She's an affectionate, soulful and playful little lady who would make any home feel a little bit warmer. She’d love to be a single kitty and have you all to herself. Contact the staff at Milo Point Richmond for assistance from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Tuesdays at 220 S. Garrard Blvd. in Richmond. Our dedicated staff is on duty every day caring for our animals and have saved more than 39,000 lives in 28 years. For more details, visit milofoundation.org/contact-us.

Lori and Janie are a bonded pair of sisters. They are 1-year-old domestic shorthair brown tabbies. Not only do both of them love being with each other, they really enjoy being with people. And they’re typical young cats. A sunny window or spot on the carpet, maybe a climbing post to survey the surroundings, and a loving adopter would make them so happy. For more information about this or any other adoptable pets with the Contra Costa, call Pat at 925-323-0667.
