SIG, which is a partnership between first responders and local faith-based and non-profit organizations, is committed to sustaining and improving the quality of life for the growing senior population in Central Florida.
Police said seniors on a budget will often put the needs of their fur family before themselves.
"It is our goal to be sure our local seniors never have to make that choice," the department said.
